• In this case the quality of the concrete for the slab on grade must coincide with the concrete for the foundation.

• This type of slab on grade, with a greater reinf. mesh than what is normally used -for example #3 at 9 in.-, replaces tie beams between footings very efficiently and saves a considerable volume of concrete as it also forms part of the footings. It is recommended that the reinf. mesh be doubled.
