The vertical weld lengths of the C6X13 must fully guarantee the transfer of the shear forces from the beam to the column.
All of the negative reinforcement that is cut must be replaced by equal bars to the sides of the steel column and it is recommended that additional positive bars be provided, ignoring what negative bending might result in the calculation.
